Chomel, born and raised amidst the Concrete landscape of an industrial estate, was left to fend for herself at a tender age of 2 months. Young, curious and vulnerable, Chomel fell into a deep drain, probably in search of food or water. Her cries for help alerted a co-worker who was working nearby, and together with some kind souls, she was rescued and fostered. Miraculously, she suffered no injuries other than shock, and within a few days, she was deemed ready for adoption.
Chomel was one of the luckier ones that found a good home barely a week after she was put for adoption. She had charmed her way into the hearts of Jerry and his sister with her pretty eyes and endearing personality.
They lived on a private property with a sprawling field and since then, Chomel has been ‘mowing the lawn’ with her family runs up and down the garden. When she tires or when the sun gets too hot, she rests beneath her favorite palm tree, else she communicates with her neighbor’s 2 Rottweilers. They have become fast friends. Always exchanging wags and kisses.
Chomel has bonded beautifully with Jerry and the rest of his family. We could see that they spend much time talking, playing and training her. we were particularly amazed with Chomel’s self control at resisting a mouth watering treat placed in front of her till the command ‘ok’ was given! And all this at 4 months old! Her intellect and personality has been given the opportunity and love to develop and grow, and we are sure she will blossom into a lovely and faithful companion where beauty is only skin deep.
