Celebrations are in order because ASD turns 20 this year!
Our first 10 years – A Decade of Love, Hope & Dogs – was documented in a coffee table book culminating in a celebration held at District 10 Bar & Restaurant.
However, our 20th anniversary celebration will be a much more muted affair due to rising COVID cases.
We will primarily be doing fundraising for the work we do on the digital platform, Giving.sg, and we hope for your support because your donations will be DOUBLED!
From now till 31 March 2023, all donations made on this platform will be matched by Tote Board (40%) and the Government (60%).
Please help us to continue to improve the lives of our Singapore Specials like Mao who was rescued from a hoarder who almost starved her to death! Mao was only 9kg when she first came to us. She was already a senior dog but under much love and care, she blossomed and managed to live for another 4 years before succumbing to cancer.
Challenges ahead:
We will be losing our Adoption and Rescue Centre (ARC) at Lim Chu Kang before the end of this year. We have to move more than 50 dogs to 2 new units at The Animal Lodge which will be a bit of a squeeze. Time, space and costs will be serious factors to consider. Renovations will cost us around $60,000, and we will need to try our best to help our dogs at ARC find good homes before the move.
Thank you for being a part of our 20-year journey. We will be around for another 20 years and perhaps another 20 more, if we continue to have your support.
