How many dogs are born with golden spoons in their mouths, taken care of since they were puppies, never having to worry about food, water or shelter?
Dogs like Archy were born with nothing, except their will to survive and their resilience to hardship.
Rescued from a construction site, Archy with his snowy white fur and charming nature was finally going to get his spoon, filled with the nutrition of life.
Archy was much sought after, and there was a long list of potential adoptors, but with his active nature, he needed a special family, who understands him and would be able to provide a condusive environment for him.
That special family came in the form of Patsy and her husband and their 2 young daughters. Patsy had imparted her love for animals to her daughters, who took to Archy like he was a long lost brother.
With their belief that animals form an integral part of the family, and their dedication towards caring and protecting them, we knew Archy would be right at home with them.
Archy now known as Salty, lives with Pepper, another adopted canine, and Harry the cat, where they have a huge garden to romp around in, and even a swimming pool to dip in !
Salty has grown very attached to the children and he watches over them like a faithful guardian angel.
Sadly, Salty has contracted mange, a skin condition, but Patsy remains unfazed and has continually brought him for treatment, knowing that health and sickness are part and parcel of a dog’s life.
